This dark chocolate bar is made with single estate cocoa beans from the El Rosario farm in Colombia's Necoclí region, and at 50% cacao it sits in that sweet spot between properly dark and genuinely indulgent. Caramel, a pinch of sea salt, roasted hazelnut warmth and a faint fruity finish on the back end. It's the kind of bar you snap off one square of and then eat the whole thing.
El Rosario is the first cocoa farm in the world to be certified by SlaveFreeTrade.org, so every bar is fully traceable back to the people who grew it. The farm's shift from cattle ranching to cacao has created over 250 local jobs in the region. Chocolate that actually feels good to eat.
