Some things start as a one-off and earn a permanent place. This tray began life as a piece made for Margate Pride, but the response was so warm that it became the first official Müll Margate blend.
Made from 100% recycled plastic, each one is formed from materials collected locally: ice cream tubs, Marmite lids, chocolate tubs, baby food containers. The result is a marbled pattern that's entirely its own. No two trays look the same, which is rather the point.
At 25cm x 11cm, it's a useful size. Fruit on the kitchen counter, keys by the door, jewellery on the bedside table. It holds its shape, resists knocks, and adds a genuine bit of colour wherever it lands.
Every tray is handcrafted in Margate, keeping plastic out of landfill and incineration, and keeping production rooted in the town that inspired it.
